About CQ Electronics

CQ Electronics is an independent electronics repair and vehicle electrical workshop in Seventeen Mile Rocks, Brisbane. We repair phones, tablets, laptops, game consoles, car ECUs and other electronic boards at component level, diagnose vehicle electrical faults, and install dash cams, head units and car accessories.

What we do

Most electronic faults are one failed component, not a write-off. We find that component and repair it, instead of replacing the whole board or product.

  • Phone and tablet repairScreens, charging ports, batteries, liquid damage and board-level faults for iPhone, iPad and Android. See the fixed prices by model.
  • Laptop and MacBook repairEvery make. Motherboard and no-power faults, screens, charging ports and liquid damage, plus batteries, keyboards, SSD and RAM upgrades and data recovery. We are an independent repairer, not an Apple Authorised Service Provider.
  • Game console repairHDMI ports, no-power faults and overheating on PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
  • Car ECU and module repairNo-communication faults, power and ground diagnosis and corrosion damage in vehicle control modules.
  • Vehicle electrical repairFault finding for wiring, connectors, supply circuits and accessories.
  • Car accessories, dash cams and head unitsLight bars, dual battery, immobilisers, car audio, alarms, trailer plugs, keyless entry, dash cam packages and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto head units, fitted with clean, protected wiring.

How we work

Repairs are done at component level with a microscope, hot-air and soldering stations, oscilloscopes and multimeters. You send the device or vehicle model, the symptoms and what happened before it failed; we assess the fault and confirm the next step; recommended work and pricing are quoted before any major work starts; the repair is tested and explained at handover.

Repairs carry a 6-month repair warranty as standard; the period for your job is printed on your invoice and receipt. Every repair also includes 5% off the quoted price, or, if you find a genuine lower price for the same repair elsewhere, a 5% price beat (the two cannot be combined).
